We all look at the mirror
Some for a minute, some for five
Are we looking at reality
Or do we just contrive ?
In this process of seeking perfection
We are losing precious time
One look at our phones
And we drift into the social pantomime
For the pause of reflection
And the speed of life to combine
All it takes is a simple thought
And a brand new design
If we could see each passing moment
Wouldn’t it be just fine ?
Continuum is the constant change over time. The form was derived from the combined shape of the old fashioned hand held mirrors and the shape of the hourglass. The element of time was incorporated through the regulated flow of sand that shows each passing minute. Part of the mirror reflects the user's face but the other part reflects back an alternate reality that is slowly filling with sand. This mirror rotates along a central axis and can be tilted as per the user's convenience. Many make-up routines take a minute each to set. Flipping the mirror allows the user to keep track of time and hence is functional but ironic at the same time as it is a reminder of the time that has passed.
